Ideology

Jai Baba Kamlahiya Aradhana (JBK Aradhana) believes that clean environment, clean water, agriculture, cleanliness, education and health are very important. The organization is working for the betterment of the society and for the coming generation to get this basic living facility.

Vision

Jai Baba Kamlahia Aradhana (JBK Aradhana) aspires for a society that is aware of the basic facilities of its life, it discharges its responsibility for its society under the spirit of equality and that nature has given us the gift of water, agriculture and clean environment. Every person can get education, health and basic facilities. All people are responsible his duties.

Mission

Working in the direction of environmental conservation, all- round development of villages, self-reliance and empowerment of women, formation of self-help groups and providing means of livelihood to them by working in the direction of preparing local products. To make the young generation aware of their basic needs and make them work. To work for the upliftment of below poverty line and scheduled sastes. Inspiring everyone to be aware and conserve natural resources. To make people aware of better health and to make future young generation aware of a better education for their better future.

Strategies

Empowerment of community, strengthen SHGs promote peoples Institutions Development through Education of the community on academic and livelihoods. Conservation and management of Natural Resources and Maintain Local Biodiversity through participation and Involvement of the community.Improvement in present Agriculture pattern and enhance production through appropriate and Indigenous technology Promote Community health and address local health issues through community-based Interventions and coupled with clinical approaches

Goal

Creating a system of thinking and education that will benefit the environment and health, along with advancing women’s empowerment, village development, and education, along with promoting environmental protection.

Approach

The volunteers were involved who work with team sprit commitment and sharing responsibilities. Its approach with community-based development programme promotes the values of selflessness without any trace of patronizing. Greater economic, social, political, equality and justice. Self-reliant and interdependent on one another unity and cooperation between individuals and communities.

Peoples’ Representation

Jai Baba Kamlahiya Aradhana (JBK Aradhana) develops the process of people’s organization forming village communities in micro level guided by multipurpose workers. Forming clusters and supreme bodies with people’s representation at the area macro levels guided by cluster promoters promoting federation and peoples’ organizations at the area level guided by the project coordinator and executive body.

Objectives of the organisation

To propagate the need for tree plantation / pollution control and environmental awareness.
To provide help to people suffering from Natural calamities such as flood, Earthquakes, motor accidents etc.
To work for uplifting the status of women in the society.Educating and creating awareness among women especially the rural women; Supplements efforts of government in women empowerment.
To help and generate training programme for self employment of women
To create the means for providing medical assistance to the people suffering from diseases, especially for helpless people

Environment Protection

Himachal Pradesh is a hill state and known for its clean environment and good climate. After independence there are huge developmental activities for construction of roads and building and urbanization. In the name of development there had been deforestation, cutting of hill slops and obstructing the flow of water in rivers and traditional nullaha and many tributaries of the rivers. There is a need to work for the protection of environment in Himachal Pradesh for which our NGO will submit various projects to the govt. and big Industrial houses to contribute for the environment protection projects.

Save Water

Water is very important for our life. The population of our country is increasing day by day and the number of houses is also increasing, due to which the demand for water is increasing and due to excessive exploitation of natural sources of water, the water level is falling. Due to the lack of proper maintenance of natural resources, the water level at the ground level is going down. Water is not going inside the ground. For which the community has to be made aware for water conservation and work for rain water collection, construction of soak pit for dirty water and maintenance of natural resources. Awareness camps at the school level, making aware about the importance and quality of water. To make rural women aware of cleanliness of water sources through PRI activities. To make women aware for more and more time for water conservation because women are mostly involved in water related works.

Cleanness

Cleanness is very important for our clean environment, it is very important our better health. Due to population growth and increasing pollution day by day, our health is having a deep impact; on the other hand, our environment is also being adversely affected. To make aware to make it clean, to do awareness work from time to time so that our environment remains clean, to work in this direction

Disaster management

Himachal Pradesh is in the seismic zone 4 and prone to earth quake, further there are frequent cases of fire, road accident, cloud burst, flood and land slide & Heavy snow etc. the people need to know how to protect themselves and avoid the negligent behaviour.

Women Empowerment

Women are 50% of total population. All evils in the societies are dominated by the male. The major tradition and culture of the State is more women centric. The rural economy is largely generated by the Women, even than there are many social barriers to debar the women the status they deserve. Much has been done in this field but still much more is required to be done for empowerment of the women. We as NGO want to work for this cause and shall take the support of Govt. and all those agencies who want to work for women empowerment in
the society.

Education

Himachal have done excellently in the field of education and govt. claim 100% education in HP. But when we make a field study in this regard, we found that we need to re design our education system. People need to be given the education which will make them self-reliant and able to earn their livelihood in their own village or nearby places. The career counselling of each student is very important for special drive is required in each educational institution every year.

Health

Govt. is working on health infrastructure, new Medical Colleges, Pharmacy colleges etc. It is well known fact that the facilities being given by the Govt. are not reaching to the common man. The govt. Hospitals are not fully equipped hence people are not getting the required treatment. Private Hospital are quite expensive and every citizen of the country/State con not afford the same. There is need to make people aware about their health and increasing drug addiction amongst the youth. Awareness is required to be spread and various steps to be taken by each to protect them from the drug addiction and diseases. For this a wide spread awareness program is required to be taken up by the govt. with the help of social organization like ours. Awareness is required to be given to the people regarding cleanliness about their home, their village/town. Many diseases can be prevented if cleanliness is there.

Rural Development

90 percent population in Himachal Pradesh are living in rural area. With the spread of education and higher aspirations of the educated people there is mass migration from villages to small town and big cities due which villages are vacant and traditional small industries and agriculture is vanishing from the State. There is need to protect the traditional cottage industries, Handicrafts and agriculture crops etc. there is dire need of digital literacy to the rural people. Special awareness Drive should be taken up for this purpose.

Research

To promote research, publication, technology and education in the field of social work and social development including in the area of social and philanthropic activities. To undertake research including educational studies/projects/workshops/seminar-helpful in orienting developmental programmes – dissemination of knowledge and exchange of experiences and publication of literature in the tribal and rural development.
